what transit hotel terminal , do i stay at ?

  • MY friend arrives from LAX on SQ #11 ,@ 1:20 am on april 3 , He has CX flight to bkk @ 1 pm.

    He arrives terminal 2 , and my flight 12 hrs later is terminal 1 .

    terminal 2 has no construction , but terminal 1 is departure and has gym .
    any suggestions? , also i forget if gym and pool are included in fee for room ?

    I am thinking terminal 2 . but ??

  • You can walk airside between the terminals (or take the airtrain but it wont be running when SQ11 arrives). Doesnt take long.

    I presume you have no checked bags. The transit hotel is airside, but if you need to clear immigration to collect checked bags then you wont be able to get back in (since CX check in wont be open yet).


  • My friend would like to sleep several hrs , he has 12 hr layover. I know u can go on waitlist , @ transit hotel , and/or find a quiet part of airport .

    I have done search , but not clear about what is best alternative , $ wise and close by ? any reasonable , cheap hotels to get too, and stay @ close by Changi ?


  • Singapore is small. If you are wanting outside hotel I'd head for the central city rather than try to get an airport hotel.

    At 1:30am cab to hotel will be quick (10-15 minutes) and reasonably cheap (about S$20). Plenty of cheap hotels in Orchard Road area.
