Small Quicklaunch Icons in XP Pro Taskbar
I would like to have the "small" icons in the quicklaunch portion of
my task bar: currently I have large icons. Where is the option to
change this in XP?One additional comment regarding the directions in the answer:
Before following the steps in the answer, make sure that the task bar
is not locked. You can do this by right-clicking on any blank part of
the task bar, and making sure there is not a check mark next to "Lock
the Taskbar".
If there is, you will have to uncheck it before the above directions
will work.Greetings fuciek,
To change the icon size of your Quick Launch toolbar, simply follow
these steps:
1. Right-Click on the upper left-hand corner of the quick launch
toolbar (in the blank space between the vertical perforation and the
first quick launch icon). If done correctly, when holding down the
right mouse button, your cursor will turn into a four-way directional
icon. After right-clicking, a menu will appear.
2. At the very top of the this menu is the VIEW command. Move your
mouse to VIEW, then two other options will appear --> Large Icons,
Small Icons. Yours should have a check beside Large Icons. Simply
click to change this to Small Icons.
3. The change will happen immediately. Once this is changed, you may
want/need to resize your taskbar so that you can regain some desktop
space. Simply move your mouse to the top of your taskbar until your
cursor turns into an up/down arrow. Hold down the left mouse button
and "drag" the toolbar downward until it re-sizes down one.
I hope this helps to answer your question. The hardest part is finding
a blank part of the toolbar to right-click and get to the menu you
need. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance on this
question. Thanks!
Sincerely,
PWizardThanks much. There is no mention of this in the helpfile. Worked like a charm.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
