Loews Hotels 20/20 offer ...

  • Just got an e-mail from Loews. Be one of the first 20 Loews First members to record stays at five different Loews hotels between 5/1/01 and 5/1/02 and get a 20,000 mile bonus on American Airlines ...

You also get 500 miles per stay, so that should be 22,500 miles for five stays ...

So ... who's going to try and do it in five days (or less?) ...

  • "...five different Loews hotels between 5/1/01 and 5/1/02..."

Well I'd surely expect it to be over by now -since 5 days has passed! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Perhaps the website should post the winners thugh ! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

  • BTW, there's only two hotels in Orlando (Hard Rock and Portofino Bay), but there are three hotels in the DC area (L'Enfant and Jefferson in DC and then one in Annapolis).

It's definitely a gamble, but there are six hotels in the Northeast corridor (New York, Philly, DC area) that you could use, and if you get five stays in the first five nights, I can't imagine you wouldn't be one of the first 20 ...

  • Any FT winners here by chance?

  • I've recently been in communication with the folks at Loews, and they have elite levels for their program also. For those that don't know about their program the basic benefits are:

Welcome Gift - Choices include: Vintage Chardonnay, Vintage red wine, seasonal fruit, bottled water, or cookies and milk.
Newspaper - The morning newspaper delivered to your door. Choices include: The Wall Street Journal, USA Today or the local paper.
Upgrade to Business Class room at time of reservation.(if available)
Free access to the Fitness Center.
    500 American Airlines® AAdvantage® or Midwest Express® miles.

Anyway, after 3 stays or 10 nights you get Gold which gets you:

Guaranteed reservations with 48 hours advanced notice.
Upgrade to a suite for $35 additional at time of check-in.(if available)
    1,000 American Airlines® AAdvantage® or Midwest Express® miles.

And after 10 stays or 25 nights you get Platinum which gets you:

Guaranteed reservations with 24 hours advance notice. This includes a guaranteed Business Class room if available at the time of reservation.^
Upgrade to a suite for $35 additional at the time of check-in.(if available)
1,000 American Airlines® AAdvantage® or Midwest Express® miles* for the first night and 500 extra miles for every additional night stayed

    That's all from their webpage, http://www.loewshotels.com/loewsfirstbenefits.html .

Here's the thing ... those elite levels are lifetime cumulative. In other words, once you have three lifetime stays ... you're Gold for life ... 10 lifetime stays ... Platinum for life!!!

I could see something like this coming in real handy for business travelers with their 24 hour guarantee of a room!

  • Beckles,

The email worked just fine. I picked up the link from your email. It is a long one!

    Thanks again,

  • I just read the promo again. You have a whole year to meet this qualification, but as just mentioned, they probably already have their 20 winners.

    What were they thinking????

  • Reading the fine print of the rules, it suggests that the first 20 members who stay at 5 differnt properties. Well, how am I suppose to know if I'll be among the first 20 members. Maybe I get it wrong, but does this promotion only apply to the first 20 people who make the 5 stays?

  • Yup, that's the problem with this promotion ... but, if you're going to be traveling in an area with several Loews hotels at the time (like the Northeast or Florida), it might be worth going after if you can get five hotels in the first five days ...

  • 3 stays can equal 3 nights, can't it? seems simpler than 10 nights, unless you do a two week vacation.

  • Yup, I received this promo from Loews, but you'd have to be a real gambler to participate. With three locations in Orlando and two in Washington, DC, stays in these two cities would be the easiest (least amount of travel) way to get the award.

But can you imagine going to all that trouble and be the 51st person? Sheesh!

BTW, if you are going to stay at a Loews property, be sure to sign up for their frequent stay program, "Loews First," at http://www.loewshotels.com/loewsfirst.html or by calling 1-800-LOEWS-12. At the very least, you will get a free (and pretty decent) bottle of wine when you check in. Also at their web site, I was able to find a coupon for a free upgrade to a suite when I was at the Loews House of Blues in Chicago last weekend.

  • This is a really stupid promotion. How in the world would you have an idea if you would be one of the first 20. The only people that MIGHT get this are ones that are booking almost back to back stays. And if it does not require registration, they would win and not even know about it.

This is about as stupid as the spam mail or regular mail that says the first 100 people that call will get xxxx. I would have to assume I will NOT be one of the first 100, or the gift is so worthless, everyone gets it anyways.

By the way, went to their web site and could not find the promo.

    Dumb, dumb.

  • I can't find a web page for this, but you can forward yourself an e-mail by going here:
