5) No additional discounts, coupons, or other promotional offers from the eCoupons or eSavingsCenter Web sites www.eCoupons.com (http://www.eCoupons.com) or www.eSavingsCenter.com (http://www.eSavingsCenter.com) may be used during the purchase. The use of such a promotional offer during a purchase through eRebates will disqualify that purchase, even if the purchase meets all other criteria for being a Qualified Purchase from eCoupons' terms & conditions page. But it may be worth try, I guess.
BTW you have to accumulate min $15 in rebate in order get a rebate check from eCoupons.com and it sends out checks quaterly basis. FYI, ebates.com (http://service.bfast.com/bfast/click?bfmid=8929386&siteid=28510457&bfpage=homepage) might be better choice since it has more partner merchants than ecoupons. Lastly ebates has similar policy on gift certificate purchases: 12.
Q: Do gift certificates qualify for a rebate?
A: Unfortunately, ebates.com cannot give rebates for the portion of a purchase that is made with gift certificates. Nor, can we give rebates for the purchasing of gift certificates, with the exception of those purchased at Spa Wish.
If you get the rebate for the GC puchase, great! If not, don't complain.
For comparison for cash rebate shopping portals check out ValueConsumer.com (http://www.valueconsumer.com/eShopping/CashRebates.htm)
Here's what you need to do: if you don't want to bother with eCoupons rebate skip step 1 and 3a.
1. Sign up at eCoupons.com (http://www.ecoupons.com/cgi/all_home?subrefcode=ValueConsumer)
2. Get coupon codes from ValueConsumer.com (http://www.valueconsumer.com/Travel/Travel.htm#GC)
3a. Shop at GiftCertificates.com from eCoupons.com (http://www.ecoupons.com/cgi/all_home?subrefcode=ValueConsumer)
3b. During the check out, you will be asked to create an account or not. If you do, then you are automatically enrolled in GC.com's reward program. You receive 5% of your current and future orders. Once you reach $25, you can redeem it.
3c. During the check out, put a coupon code at the promotion field and hit recalculate(?). If it take the code then finish the check out, it the coupons coupon code doesn't work, try different one. A coupon code can be [b]used only once[b/] per customer.

From Ecoupons:
Is there a minimum requirement to get paid?
Yes. It takes a rebate balance of at least $5 to trigger payment.
Balances less than $5 will be carried over to the next period.
Are there any purchases that are not eligible for rebates?
These include: purchases of gift certificates or
coupons (with the exception of stores whose primary product is gift
certificates like GiftCertificates.com, WebCertificates.com,
GiftPoint.com and Flooz.com)
Additionally, if the coupon does not come from their site (i.e. Giftcerticiates.com's own coupons) you will earn the rebate.
And finally, since I seemed to have opened a can of worms and undisclosed referral snatching, let's let the thread die. I'll be more mindful of posting useful information in the future.
The GiftCertificates.com coupons can only be used once per customer. Thanks.

Ryan
